Winning #SBS: An Unforgettable Journey
We are delighted to announce that on July 29, 2024, we won Theo Paphitis’s Small Business Sunday (#SBS). This win has been an incredible boost for us, and we are grateful for the support from the #SBS community and team.
This was probably one of the biggest shocks of my life, to come off a network meeting that I organise on a Monday night to see my X (Twitter) feed with over fifteen notifications on it and I am thinking has the conversation about my mate who has had a motorbike accident really gone mad.
Then reality kicked in, I opened the notifications to see one of them was from Theo Paphitis, the first thing I did was to ring a friend who was on the network meeting only half hour before and herself a previous winner of #SBS award.
Being a small business can often be daunting, so this recognition has provided excitement, motivation, and acknowledgement of our team’s hard work and dedication. We are both surprised and delighted by this achievement.
Our journey began back in 2020 when significant life changes prompted me to focus on what I truly wanted to do. I started by selling products I was passionate about on eBay. However, since then, our focus has shifted to providing products that are safe for people with respiratory issues, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and made with organic and natural ingredients.
You could say it has become our mission to continuously research what’s available and strive for more. This commitment has driven us to develop a unique range of products that meet our high standards and ethical values.
Winning this award is particularly meaningful to me as a business owner. It feels like recognition of all the effort and time we’ve put in so far. Watching the business grow and thrive has been incredible, and I particularly love receiving feedback from customers. Knowing that our products are safe and sustainable means everything to me.
What started as a love for beautiful home fragrances and gifts has evolved into something much more significant. My own experience with severe respiratory illness has been a major driver in my passion for finding candles and home fragrances that do not affect the lungs. Coupled with my commitment to sustainability, my quest for finding products that align with my ethics has led to years of in-depth research into the right ingredients, products, and suppliers. I am proud of where we are today and immensely grateful to have suppliers who share our ethos and ethics.
Winning #SBS has made me truly appreciate how far we have come in this journey and what we have achieved in a short period. This recognition is a testament to our products and our dedication to maintaining high standards.
The journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs and winning #SBS is a significant milestone. It validates our hard work and encourages us to continue pursuing our goals with even greater determination. We look forward to growing our business further, continuing to innovate, and maintaining our commitment to quality and sustainability.
